Celebrating SG Women Exhibition
“A roving exhibition that celebrates the progress and efforts of Singapore women.”
Shaping the Past, Present and the Future
The exhibition is divided into three time zones: the past, the present, and the future to showcase the collective journey of Singapore’s women in shaping a fairer and more inclusive society.
Sensory Experience
Singapore’s journey toward fairness and equality begins here with an inspiring narrative complemented with tactile exhibits. The rustic design elements set the atmosphere and takes visitors back to the epoch of women’s progress in Singapore. Visitors can uncover content in a variety of exhibit formats, including miniature displays and peeping holes.
“Augmented Reality Experience AR adds another layer of experience and allows visitors to access bonus content, in this case, the portraits of women come to life to tell their stories.”
Augmented Reality Art Installation
An augmented reality art installation based on the Papilionanthe SG women, an orchid hybrid.
When a visitor points their phone camera at the individual orchid cluster, it becomes animated and will transforms into a single, brilliant orchid.
“The multicoloured interactive pillars serve as polling stations, where visitors can vote on pertinent issues such as whether the gender of a board director matters.”
Inspiring change starts from oneself
Sensor-activated mirrors are set up to reveal inspiring messages when they detect a visitor’s presence. The visitor’s reflection in the mirror becomes one with the message, emphasizing the significance of being the change one wishes to see in the world.
“Visitors can redeem a gift from the vending machine after completing a survey.”
“As part of the hybrid event (Physical + virtual), visitors can explore the journey online as well. The virtual website will be compatible on both desktop and mobile.”
